This week the Iowa Finance Authority announced $63 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to developers of 19 projects around Iowa. Read the news release.
IFA’s Web site now includes a listing of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Qualified Contract properties that are for sale.
The updated and completed version of the 2008 LIHTC Program Compliance Monitoring Manual is available now.

At its March board meeting the Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors approved nearly $1.5 million in Planning & Design Loans to the communities of Superior, Ottumwa, Wilton and Salix. Read the news release.

The Spring 2008 issue of the Title Guaranty newsletter, On the Move, is available now.
This spring Title Guaranty will host five regional academies for lenders, abstractors and attorneys. The events will take place in Mason City (April 22), Coralville (April 23), Des Moines (April 24), Sioux City (May 7) and Council Bluffs (May 8). Attendees can receive six hours CLEs and six hours Iowa Mortgage CEs.

In late February, the Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office announced the creation of Iowa Mortgage Help, a statewide initiative to help homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgage. Read the news release.
The National Council of State Housing Agencies recently recognized the Iowa Finance Authority with its 2008 State Legislative Campaign Award. The honor recognizes IFA’s efforts to successfully rewrite portions of Chapter 16 of the Iowa Code during the 2007 legislative session.
