- IFA
lowered the interest rates on its
FirstHome and
FirstHome Plus programs, effective October 26. The new rates are 6.375
percent and 6.75 percent, respectively.
- The
Iowa Council on Homelessness has created several resources to help communities around
Iowa gain awareness of issues related to homelessness during National Hunger and
Homelessness Awareness Week, November 11-17. To learn more,

- At
its November meeting, the IFA Board of Directors will announce nearly $2 million in
awards to
Local Housing Trust Funds around Iowa. Look for additional information in

Planning & Design Loans to the communities of Steamboat Rock, Shenandoah
and Walnut.

Title Guaranty Division is currently accepting registrations for its Third Annual
Conference that will take place November 15 in West Des Moines.

- Congratulations
to IFA staff member Steve Harvey who was part of a team that was honored recently
with the George C. Askew Award from the American Academy of Certified Public Managers
in recognition of the group’s work to develop a new template for the state of
Iowa internship program.
