About Emerson Point
Emerson Point was the first purpose-built affordable assisted living program developed in Iowa under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. The 54 units filled quickly, and the program now maintains a waiting list of prospective tenants. This first-of-its-kind facility has served as a model for other developers and organizations interested in creating an assisted living program for low-income seniors in their community. Emerson Point provides an environment that promotes independence, dignity, and autonomy, with a proven track record of savings to Iowa’s Medicaid budget.
